It would be nice to be able to type a post and have the option of saving it as a draft so I can return to it later and finish it. This is especially handy for those long posts such as a "How To". Right now, my only option is to first type it in Word and then Copy/Paste it into here and then insert the pictures.

I like that idea too. Sometimes I'm at work and have to suddenly exit a program and I lose my post if I was in the middle of one. Why does the man have to bring me down!

I too like the draft Idea. As a workaround, I compose my howtos in notepad complete with IMG tags and then paste it in. It would definitely be easier to draft it on the forum though.

For a small site this would work, but for a larger site it could potentially cause load time issues or worse. There's only one plugin of this type right now, and it's been pulled due to the large amount of bugs that were in it.
