Is there anyway we could get the rep power taken out of the guidelines for posting in the BST? I think 50 posts and 30 days of being a member is a good idea. But, 50 rep power points could take years. There wont be very many people posting in the BST.

As stated in the Terms of Use:
The use of the B/S/T section is a privilege thats earned. As such, this forum makes use of set of requirements that must be met before individual members can post in this section. To gain access you must meet the following requirements:

50 Rep Points
50 Posts
30 Days on the Forum

If you purchase a membership then you will not have to meet these three criteria.

Is it rep power points or rep points?Because I have 216 rep points.

Rep points and power are two different things, and a link explaining Rep is posted in the rules for the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

Green Rep = Positive Rep

Your power is determined by post count, and rep count. The amount of points you have can give others a general idea of your status on the forum. More points=more active, and usually respected member.

box above their forum info . You can rep someone for any reason but you'll usually do it if someone helps you with something or has done something really cool with their marker, gear, or overall post. You can "neg-rep" people if someone says something that is offensive or behaves in a manner that's otherwise in violation of the forum rules. You do not neg-rep someone for having a different opinion than yourself, but if they were to call your opinion idiotic and stupid, then neg repping would be ok.

Building rep pyramid schemes is strictly prohibited as the amount of rep points you have can give you access to different parts of the forum such as the B/S/T or certian lounges. To prevent pyramid schemes, you are not allowed to rep the same person until you have repped another twenty people. You may also not rep the same post twice on the same post.

If you feel you have been unfairly neg-repped, don't make a big deal out of it, ask a moderator to review your case and see if it really was deserved. But be careful because if the moderator thinks you were being a disorderly and you do deserved the neg rep, he may turn around and neg rep you too.

Reputation Points are also gained by meeting certain milestones. A chart of these milestones / requirements are as follows:

Register Date Factor
For every 365 days of membership, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

Post Count Factor
For every 100 number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

Reputation Point Factor
For every 50 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

Minimum Post Count
How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10

Minimum Reputation Count
How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 1

Daily Reputation Clicks Limit
How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? 20

Reputation User Spread
How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? 5

Nope, each individual can see there total rep points by clicking on UserCP and the rep points are displayed at the top right of the Latest Rep Received box.

Or do something rep worthy. My rep comes easy. Just contribute or help another member... Rep from any mod here gives anyone enough rep points for two people to meet the required 50.
