Alright. I need a new loader, and can't decide between the Rotor and Prophecy. So many players are 150% one way or the other, but I'm not seeing a ton of cold hard facts either way.
For me capacity is not an issue. I don't care if my loader carries 185 or 240. That's just me. I'm more concerned with consistent ROF and durability. I doubt I will ever need to have the loader up above 24bps or so, but if I want to rip a string faster than that for the heck of it I would like a loader that can keep up. Please vote and post your thoughts/experiences with one or both. Thanks! Last edited by Melonhead; March 6th, 2010 at 12:15 AM. |

Rotor all the way IMHO.
While I've heard good things about the Prophecy, I've also heard several negatives such as battery life and that sometimes the programing can be a pain in the ass. I do like the look of the Prophecy a bit more but thats not enough for me. Rotor has one button, easy on paint, EXTREMELY LONG battery life, and best of all is crazy durable.

Not familiar with Prophecy, but I am very happy with my Rotor, very durable, fast, and extremely easy to clean and service.

ROTOR!!! DYE has a great video on youtube of them pretty much trying to destroy a rotor. Also the rotor is very low profile.

Rotor.
Durability should be considered. You don't want to go running into a bunker or structure and inadvertently bump your loader and have the shell break on you. The Rotor has a tougher shell than some. This is a plus. Capacity, ok, I get what you are saying so this is a mute point. Battery life, if functions on 3 "AA"s that last well over six months of consistent playing (every weekend). I had mine in for 9 months and only changed them at Fulda for a precautionary reason. "Better safe than sorry". Easy of operation, (Like Hoot said) one button push operation. Unlike say the Halo where you have to push and hold the button for it to turn on, the Rotor is just push it in to turn it on. Maintenance, no-tool disassembly. A major plus when at a game. You are not having to go locate you tackle box to strip down the Rotor. If it need to be clean because of something like a ball broke inside of the loader, it is completely apart in less than 5 minutes. Then goes back together just as quickly. As yourself this question (and be honest with yourself); "Why are so many teams that are not sponsored by DYE using their hopper?" Reason, they work and work well and reliably. Thanks soulcar. The last point is a good way of looking at it. I'm a big empire fan, but watching the TechPB review of the Rotor, Pinokio, and Prophecy made me shy away from the prophecy because of how indepth it is to take apart, even though it is tool less.

The more I think about the options the more I'm leaning towards the Rotor. I have adjustability with the Reloader, and never change anything. So if I can just turn the dumb thing on and have it ready to go that is what I need. The durability and battery life is huge. So you guys have already made up my mind for me.
