Hello to everyone, just recently picked up a used dust black mini and thought I'd say hello. I've been on the x7og since I have a phenom, but thought I'd dabble a bit with the darkside(have a g3 also but haven't really played with it yet), so here I am.

I actually got to play this past weekend with the mini and can see all the hype about the mini. Shoots great and seems very easy to shoot fast in single fire mode. Only thing is I think I'm too used to shooting my phenom with a red dot sight so I just couldn't hit anything with the mini.

I have a couple questions, I see a lot of mention of 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen poppit(?). I had 0 issues while I was playing but am curious as to what the issues are with 1st and 2nd gen poppits. And how can I tell what version I have?

I was thinking the same thing about it being easy to shoot fast on semi the first time I shot mine.

You should put up some pics, that might help someone tell you what version you have

Welcome IOG. The gen1 poppet has no spring in the back and a non-replaceable face. Generation 2 has the non-replaceable face and a spring in the back. Generation 3 has a replaceable face and a spring in the back. I believe they also enlarged the hole in the shaft of the poppet in gen 2 and 3.

thanks for the info, finally got around to taking the mini apart. It seems I have gen3 poppets but, I too have white tips.

Welcome to this OG forum! Without a red dot, most of us start by just sighting down the side of the marker. When you become one with the marker (aka lots of practive), you'll do this automatically and the PB will go where you intended it to go (most fo the time).
