Hey all I'm writing this up because Kanuck said to me the the other day when we were chatting about my ram air mod for my Excursion he said pics or it didn't happen so here we go...
So the Ford superduty truck including the Excursion have a poor air inlet into the air box, one of the DIY mods is the Zoodad mod which i just performed. First pic is the extruded gutter downspouts i bought to make the inlet collar: ![]() Pic from where i cut them so i can add them together: ![]() Front of the truck with lines drawn in where i plan on making the cuts: ![]() Front of the truck after i cut the hole and was test fitting the inlet collar (you can see the air box inlet through the hole) : ![]() After securing the #6 stainless mesh with stainless hardware: ![]() Final picture with the front grill back on the truck: ![]() the overall increase in air should merit a ~2 MPG increase for it, i will keep tabs on the mileage to see what kind of increase i will see if any...
