So I took the step into electro with an Empire Axe. I have shot milsim/tippman markers primarily in the past. I own a fully modded X7 and a minimalist Phenom, a Tiberius T9.1 Ranger, a Tiberius T8, Brass Eagle Talon V1 & V2 (for fun), a CCM T2, modded Empire Traccer and many Goblin solo's and Deuces (LOL). I have owned Tactmarks and Milsigs as well.
I loved my Phenom for its compactness and its manuverability (compared to what I was shooting) the consistency and efficiency was better as well. I started to mess around with lightening my load out as well. I dopped the vests and pouches and all the weight and ran with an NXE Extraktion pod belt. I even used my Talon V2 with only a 50 round hopper to play hopper ball and I loved the light and fast aspect allthough not so accurate or consistent. Then I jumped into the deep end of pump play and got a CCM T2 which I have to say has been the best thing I have ever shot. It's so smooth that I don't feel the slightest bit disadvantaged shooting pump. It's improved my game to the point that I am considered a bane by the elecro shooters and not handicapped at all. I wanted to get a light efficient electro to compliment my new style. I didn't see the value in the $1000 plus markers as I wasn't planning to use it all the time nor am I planning to play tourney ball. I play woods and scenario, not milsim so I saw huge value in a dust olive Empire Axe. I haven't had the chance to use it on the field as it's only 2 days in my possesion, to date, but playing with it at home (you all do it, don't laugh) it feels great. I have a V-Ball target range in the house and snap shooting with the Axe at closer ranges (15-25ft) is sweet. The efficiency is good. I have been using a i-fit system with the .668 sizer for V-ball, and the accuracy/consistency is impressive too, as good as it can be with V-balls. It feels very comfortable and quick to transition for dominant and off hand shooting. The trigger is really light and feels good. I love the colour and the look of it too. Overall I am very impressed and anxious to get it out on the field for some game play. The quick removeable bolt is a good feature allthough I haven't needed to use it other than for checking it out. I would like to have a few other options on the board, like auto trigger, so if any of you know what/how to upgrade/program to get this on the AXE let me know I knows Imma gonna gets me some kills with this gat.

Welcome aboard MEGAS! You'll love the AXE. They're not much different than the Minis and I plan on getting one since the bigger trigger frame works better for my hands.
Quick, nimble little marker. Can't get any better than that!!!Glad to see you're still ballin'. I never thought you'd hit the darkside ever. LOL Well, I guess we all hit that point one time or another.

I don't consider the hardware the darkside as long as its subdued
. I'm still camo clad and all woods/scenario. I just use the gear that makes me more efficient therefore more tactical. Tactics change the way we play and are not a specific look. Besides, by running light and tight I don't have to take as much gear to the field, it takes less time to get ready and I'm not weighed down on the field. All that = MORE FUN!

You got that right. I'm still weighed down by that problem, especially with my Phenom being just a tad big heavier than a standard AK47. LOL
How's the AXE feel with the bigger gap?

It feels great. The extra room allows for more hand positions and feels "right". As a convert I don't get the extra weight anymore. Asthetics maybe but ask any enlisted soldier if they would rather carry heavy or light gear, especially if the lighter gear was more accurate, consistent, tighter and greater fire power.

Now that's awesome to hear. I plan to get my custom Empire AXE when I head to EMR Paintball on April 30th.
I'm gonna love it when I go on the attacking side with 1000 other players.

It's not side by side, but it may answer your curiosity.

I'll definitely be there to buy one! Just hope you'll have Dust Black though.
