Ok, so here is my quandary and you would not think something a simple as buying a marker would cause someone so much grief but I’ve gone back and forth on this for months now.

My taxes will be here soon as after paying much needed bills I’ve decided to purchase myself a new toy, a marker. I want to buy something new (that is certain) but other than that I’m all over the board on what to get.
I have an Etek 1 right now and while I like it, it is an older marker and I’m not crazy about the color (it’s urban camo which is cool but I prefer black or green).
  • This is what I’ve been thinking…
  • Another Etek, a 3 in green camo
  • A Proto Rail, one of the newer ones (I do like spool valves and they are very comfortable to hold)
  • A TM probably the 15 (I’m still mainly a woodsballer but I already have a Phenom)
  • Or finally the Empire Axe
Like I said, I’ve gone back and forth with what to get, price is not a big deal I can afford any of them. I do like the TM’s and was first thinking of getting a 15 but it is a bit large for my taste and I would end up cutting it down anyhow. The TM-7 is a bit too small and honestly a bit flimsy.

I liked the Etek that I have but I also like that the Axe has internal air lines and honestly is just seems as though, from what I’ve read and seen on youtube, the Axe just has some more advanced features.

The other reason I’m thinking of NOT getting a TM is that I’ve had issues with high priced electro woodsball guns before. My Phenom has not exactly been without issues and I had an SP-1 before that which also had issues. I don’t want to fall into that trap again and get something that is going to start having issues or break in times. I want something that I can take out of the box and it will just work. I would want to change the barrel and that is about it.

Also the TM’s do not come with a double trigger and although you can get one for it, I’m not sure if they shoot as well trying to walk one. Where I’m at now, it’s semi only so I need something that is a fast trigger walker. During the summer I’m at an outlaw field where I can shoot what I want but half of the year at least, its semi.

Anyhow, this is my quandary. I would appreciate any advice or guidance you all can give. I’m not asking you all to tell me what I should get, just your opinions and what you think from what markers you have tried out and gamed with.

My vote is for the AXE as well. No external Airline, It's lean and mean like the mini and has no external airline to fuss with. The external airline is a huge pet peeve of mine and the reason I will never run a PE marker.

If I wasn't sponsored by PE then the Axe would be sufficient for me. The Axe even comes with a roller bearing trigger which the ETek3 does not.
