I just picked up an empire axe and i have a JJ elite set, lapco barrels and an 14" apex2 for my x7 that i would like to be able to use for my axe. Is there any negatives about using adapters?

First off welcome to the forum, that's a good kit... Several of us use dw with freak inserts, but I am sure that there are several on here that use other set ups...

No reason not to use an adapter, and it"s cheaper than replacing all you barrels.

Thanks. I'll just order one and see how it goes.

Some people see the added length as a negative, but if it doesn't bother you than go for it.

I, too am interested in using an A5 elite kit with my Mini. My concern is with the barrel's new entrance. With using a small bore back, is there a concern that the ball will travel down the wide adapter and have a had transition into the barrel back? I have no idea how those adapters work in that respect.
