Default Animals Mini

Well I picked up a mini a few weeks ago and decided to join here. I have been a member of A5og for awhile. I have taken it to one scenario so far and I am happy with its performance, so it gets to stay. So far I have just put some grips and a HH barrel. My future plans are to get the new reg with the on off lever, a new trigger, new eyes, and maybe eventually an APE board if I feel the need.

Update 8/22/11
Well I decided against a trigger or new eyes, and went with the rare earth magnet mod which was a great $2 improvement that I am very happy with. I didn't like the color as much as I thought I would. So I bought a dust black one and was gonna sell the bronze then a team mate traded her dust olive body for my bronze so now I have two minis and am keeping both. Added an APE board to one so far and the olive body came with a shocktech low rise feedneck. Picked up another halo too so I can loan one out if needed. Through some sales and trades I have picked up a couple MOFO barrels for each as well. Here are my Mini's now.

Welcome to IOG, Animal. I would skip the eyes and put that money towards the APE board. I have an ape in both of my minis. Ask Swift, the glow from the eyes will give you away if you ever play in a night scenario.

Thanks kanuck, thats good to know. I only was going to replace them because whenever I turn on the mini it doesn't seem to want to work until after a few trigger pulls. I have had to turn it on with the eyes off, shoot it, then switch them back on before. IDK if its a mini thing or my eyes or board are a little wack.
I do play at night alot so thats a good heads up!

Welcome to the IOG! There has been some discussion on the board about different color paint being an issue with the eyes, and I belive even Ol kanuck has had a problem with one of his stock boards... theboss33 runs a good shop and is in the know for empire markers(invert), feel free to give him a shout.

My eye board went bad, period. I think the color paint that some people have issues with the eyes not seeing is orange. There's a thread here where boss posted some info on that.

A q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to clean your eyes with is maybe all she needs.

The snatch grip is also nice such that it makes it easier to carry...that is until Kanuck releases his harness clip mod.

Are you sure it's not a sticky noid. I had a similar problem where it wouldn't shoot till the trigger was pulled several times. Cleaned the noid, and it took care of it.

Yeah, that rare earth magnet mod does wonders considering its low cost and extra easy install.

What do you think about the APE board?
