ok so basically if you turn it down too much, the gun doesnt recock. which is very annoying.
i think ive found a happy medium inbetween the lowest velocity to prevent breaks while the gun still recocks. im still thinking there is a possibility these Kingman Training premium .43 balls are too soft resulting in the breaks, but if anyone knows how i can keep the velocity down while promoting the slide from still engaging fully, i would appreaciate it. ty! |

I tried 2 mags of Kingman paint in my Sig, and each ball broke. I then convinced a teammate to let me use some of his RAP paint from 2 seasons ago. It worked fine.....go figure.
So, we traded paint. I wouldn't use anything in the RAP markers except hard shelled paint designed for the pistols. Hope that helps.

well that makes sense! thanks for the advice, ill buy myself some RAP paint and see if that works better. maybe ill throw some in my time machine and age it a bit.
iv managed to reduce the ball breaks to almost none now.... except when the rounds double feed! ugh.... another issue to fix... possibly loosening the spring in the magazine? or breaking it in a little so it doesnt have as much push? did my playing with the velocity screw alter how long the chamber stays open during recock to allow an extra ball to sneak in? oh fun.

Spring tension could also contribute to ball breakage. I measured the three springs from my .226, and found that all three had different lengths.
If you feel one spring is too long, cut 1 coil from the spring, and try that. BTW, make sure the paint you buy is specific for the pistols (AG1 I believe), and make sure it is hard shell (there is a difference)

hmm yeah...
well at any rate, the marker is rated for 290 fps default, which is too high for all the fields i play at. only do myself and friends chrono at 290 during woodsball play. so i think lowering it was somewhat required if it was set correctly after all. ill buy some harder shell paint next time and see how that works |
