Well, I'd still have 60% of my hearing if my hearing aid died but I wouldn't be able to hear the important sounds. A word of advise, never leave me deaf because I become extremely intelligent as no hearing allows my brain more "CPU" room. I did it a few times (played without my hearing aid) and I felt like I just took a seal off that shouldn't have been off to begin with. So yeah, I'll trust that grin on his face!

Really? That is very, very interesting. I can understand how people with a complete loss of a sense will have other senses that are heightened; but I always chalked that up to Nature's way of "tacking up slack" so-to-speak. I guess it stands to reason that the brain would have room to process other things moreso; but I have never heard of that working in practice.

I must experiment with this somehow. I sympathize with your loss of hearing; but this is extremely cool.

I think Ichi should start a new thread and give us an example of his heightened intelligence.

Then again, I'm probably not smart enough to comprehend the awesomeness.
