Just installed my Redline and did a read through on the manual. Compared the Redline settings to the stock Axe board and the Geo2 (my original choice before discovering the Axe).
Some random thoughts... 1) Redline offers approx double the settings over the stock board. Are they required for woodsball - probably not, but cool. 2) Redline offers similar settings to the Geo2 and even offers one more User profile. Geo2 still comes out ahead with the Eportal and other settings although I doubt I would use any for woodsball. 3) The Redline body is the same anodized aluminum that the rest of the Axe is. Not sure where the "rubber coating" people speak of came from. Wishful thinking I guess. 4) The Redline "Joystick" or D-pad is a bit of a PITA to use. For the best result I use my fingernail to move it around. Not sure how long that will last. I have small fingers and can use a finger tip to actuate the button but it's not positive and results in several misses. A guy with large fingers might have some trouble. 5) *Picky* The battery door on the Redline does not sit totally flush. I noticed Cap'n'Crunch's is the same. Not a big deal by any means, just makes you go "Hmmmm". 6) The Redline does have a ball counter, but it's buried and can be reset. This was one feature I wanted though and glad to see it's there. Overall a cool upgrade, particularly for tournament players who are very specific about their set-up. Easy to install (loosen two screws and slide on). Worth $250 to your door (tax and shipping). I'll let you decide ![]() B. |

If you have to use your fingernail then gloves would make it almost impossible to navigate?

Sounds to me like voice controls would be a lot easier.
"Axe settings." "Fire Mode." "Edit." "PSP Mode." "Exit."

What would be cool, would be if the marker automatically shuts down when the opfor is 'hit' with a paintball. Like what happens in laser tag.

Don't forget, you could always pull your Direct Beam Circuit Board Interruptor (DBCBi) out of your pocket to disable the marker's firing sequence.
