Tippmann officially releases the X7 Phenom - mcarterbrown.com

i'm sold on my electros, but if this had been around before i made the leap i'd probably still be an avid tippmann fan.

The review I read looks very promising. I hope it performs as advertised right out of the box.

I wonder what my X7 is worth now??

i am impressed that tippmann seems headed in the right direction, which is that they're moving toward more versatile markers that are easier to maintain. anyone know the MSRP of this thing?

If I guess, they're gonna milk the cost since its "new technology."

I would imagine about 400 new with no body upgrades.

There is some pre-order thing on ebay for it, and it is listed at 399.99... so i am going to assume that it is the actual price.

It does look promising though.

Well its about time is all I can say. I probably won't every buy one, but I will hold off on that until I shoot one and see what its like.

I will say though, when will tippmann get a clue and stop with the tool kits in the mags and promoting the usefulness of that? At all the scenario games I play, countless players get their mags checked because its about 50/50 that they have tools in there, on the field.

I reffed 2 weekends ago and I had to stop everyone I saw with the potential have to the tools in the mags. I'm sure it gets very frustrating for the players who don't carry the tools but get stopped each new ref they cross.

And the selectable e-grip, while cool is also not usually field legal and its very easy to the rules of play if there are any limited to rates of fire and firing modes.

Anyone else think their valve looks REALLY familiar?

But if that means Tippmann is learning from AGD, then this thing ought to perform pretty well.

I wonder how it reacts to a half loaded ball... hmmm...

Also, I thought that as soon as i saw it actually, hopefully it works as well as the AGD markers, and hopefully it doesnt fail and throw tippmann under. lol

I guess that would be how they got mech trigger, and an electronic trigger, just like the extreme mag? i forget what one could do it.
