Default Tippmann reintroduced the SL-68 2

It looks like Tippmann decided to hop on the pump market wave. They've reintroduced the classic SL-68 2 with a few refinements to it.

The SL-68 II was my first paintball gun. Might pick one up.

Wonder what kind of threading that barrel is?

It's kind of a press fit barrel locked in place by a set screw I believe. No barrel threads on this one. J and J used to make a barrel for it back in the day, but I expect Tippmann and probably J and J to get a few after market barrels going on it. I think you can still find older version J and J's for it here and there though.

Here is a link to the J and J barrel for the SL-68 2.

IIRC, the original was a press-fit design, not threaded...they don't mention changing that in the ad.

Edit: Tank beat me to it, lol.

The barrel was the only reason that I sold my old one. I just wanted a pump that I could use a barrel kit on.
Since the re-release of this marker. You should be able to buy replacement parts for the old ones. That would be the route I would take instead of buying a new one. Pick up an old used one cheap, an buy any new parts you may need!
Just make sure the feed neck isn't cracked.
