Team IYAOYAS Midwest chapter started this past Spring when we were given the chance to form by the leaders of the Original Team IYAOYAS in Florida. Tblack, his son, and I decided that the team we were on at the time was going nowhere fast. They wanted to play at the same field most of the time, when they agreed to try a new field most would then back out of going, and there was too much drama caused by certain members of the team. In forming the Midwest chapter we planned on hitting fields that we had never played before, meeting new people, and just having a good time. Luckily Soulcar, Peady15, and Rocco who all members of Team Infidels agreed to join our newly formed team. Killswitch was made a member of our team back in May after we finally met him at CPX at the Living Legends II game.
The majority of us met through the forums on X7OG and although we live anywhere from 2 - 10 hours away, we keep in contact either through the forums or through talking on Skype nightly. The main goal of our team is just having fun while playing and hopefully allowing others to have fun too. If you play anywhere in Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri or nearby hit us up. We might just be able to make a game with you. Now it's your turn to post up how your team started.

The Indiana Infidels started out of the fact that some guys that played paintball together wanted to travel around the state of Indiana and play some of the fields in the state.
The team started to form in Oct/Nov time frame last year. Things were finalised in January of this year. Our first offical game together was in Feb of this year with Mutt and Tblack's former team on a field in southern Indiana. From that the Indiana Infidels were asked to join up with the starting Midwest Chapter of the IYAOYAS. We talked about it and talked about how this would be a major step for us and how it would help our playing to improve. I talked to a couple of members that weren't in the state at that time (military duty) and we jumped at the chance. We had to release a member of the team because he wasn't dedicated to the cause (this was news to our new team mates btw) and we wished him well and hope for the best for him and the Indiana Infidels were now on a new road of adventures. I am hoping that Darth Sideshow and Darth Ratt will speak up on this thread. I know the true origin of the IYAOYAS in general but I'll leave that privilege to them.
Mutt was a founding member or the Midwest chapter. And knows our roots. I am hoping to see more teams pop up. I think threads like these will go a long way in to unifying the Midwest like the Southeast has already done.... |

Well team Devil's Brigade was formally started in 2007. It has been growing steadily since then and we now have 18 members located in Central, OK/Eastern, OK/Northwestern, AR.
I personally was playing with team Shadow Legion out of Ft. Smith. The team started to slowly fall apart not due to any real arguments or differences, members just quit playing due to financial and other reasons. I joined up with Devil's Brigade in the late Spring and assumed command of the Recon unit, it has been great so far. Great group of guys that are dedicated to fun, fair play, and taking it to the opposing team. We have since picked up four sponsors. Our latest project is an Alliance with other like minded teams in the area, The Southern Outlaw Coalition. We have joined with Team BOHICA from Sallisaw, OK and are working on a few others. Basically, a network of teams that will get together, practice, and come together as a unified force for Scenarios.

Since we have a few ODX (Operational Detachment X-ray) running around the OG's I figure I can post up its story.
Team ODX was formed after Oklahoma D-Day 2006. Two teams that I would almost describe as rivals decided to join forces and combine. X-ray Company out of Winston Salem, NC and Gray ODA out of Taylorsville, NC. ODA talked a few members of X-ray company into joining them in Oklahoma. A month or so after they returned, we had ODX. We've lost a few members and gained several. But ODX is still one of the hardest hitting teams around. And it also has one of the largest Armored Detachments in scenario paintball, with some of the most impressive looking tanks in the game. ODX is sponsored by Command Decisions Wargames Center. Just like CDWC is a MilSim field ODX is a MilSim Team and not just a scenario team. ODX utilizes military tacics and equipment to achieve the goals set forth by our team commander. ODX is fortuante to have several members that are former military which adds in the teams training. ODX is also involved in some military training activities that bennefit our armed forces.

The guys who formed Team Bad Karma are not members of this forum, yet...
But I do know the team started when 3 individuals (2 former military) met inside a chic-fil-a fast food restaurant. They wanted to create an alternative to the teams already in the area. It has blown up ever since! |

We had a group that all met by chance at our home feild in byron. It all came together by chance none of us had really played the feild before and after quickly becoming friends and getting the feild to sponsor us it all just kinda fell together. We lost some members due to drama and gain a few more and now were hosting our first scenario labor day weekend. We managed to get MVT at 300 this year and hope to get more like it. Im amazed at how far we came in less that a year

Team WOW started in November of 2005. A handful of recreational players met for the first time earlier that summer and played together a few times at a local rec field. This was the only paintball we knew and we aimed to become more of a tactical unit.
Well, we played our first Scenario and fell in love. All of us agreed, it was better to win the game than to excell as a team only. How can a small number of players impact the game in the largest way to ensure victory? We figured out how and the rest is history. 27 Scenario games since 2006, 23 total awards won, countless friends made and counting...
