hi, im new at this forum...

is the rumours saying that the ape board don't work together with the virtue laser eyes true?


i have heard, that if u are having a ape board, the eyes won't work...

The APE board in my Mini rocked without skipping a beat. Kanuck I think owns 2 Minis both with APE boards in them and he doesn't have any eye problems.

I haven't heard any issues with APE not working with the laser eyes, but I'll contact APE directly to see what they think. If there is an issue between the two, they'd tell you.

Where did you hear the rumor?

Really, I see no need to update the eyes. The stock eyes work just fine as long as you keep them clean and free of paint. Ape boards kick ass. Program out the fire modes you do not use and have push button fire mode change capability.

Unknown, since the entire upper board is replaced... I would not be surprised since the trigger sensor and eye interface circuit are both on the upper board. Who knows what Virtue did with the board.

The stock mini eyes are photodiode (unusual) and they may have gone to phototransistor (typical).

This is the response I received from APE.

I say try it out. If it doesn't work take out Virtue Eye Board, insert Mini Eye Board, send back Virtue board for a full refund.

One could always take the info provided above and ask VIRTUE if their Eye board is compatible with an APE board.....Or save the dough and buy some paint

I didn't think the laser eyes performed any better than the stock eyes. What's the advantage of laser eyes other than seeing the light ?

its called "dual spectrum technology" it can sense the paintball with infared AND visible light

i'm honestly not sure... i think for me seeing the light would be an advantage, just so i quickly know that the eyes are on quickly....
