I purchased the "blue flame" ltd edition mini back in Janaury and used it a couple of times and only had it out 2 times over the summer because I was primarily playing woodsball and scenarios. Fast foward to this weekend when I took it out and it was a mess. Upon taking it out of the box I noticed that turning it on the eyes were not lighting up however, it was still recognizing a ball being in the chamber so I didn't think anything of it, but the gun started choppoing balls almost instantly. I took it home that night, cleaned it, lubed it, and cleaned of the eyes and same thing happened on Sunday.
Would anyone be able to give me some insight on why it would be doing this? Do you think it is an eye issue seeing that they do not light up anymore? Thanks in advance. Last edited by judgementday; November 15th, 2010 at 07:56 AM. |

If it's stock the eyes should never have lit up in the first place. What kind of paint are you using and what was the temp? How old is the paint?

Try a new battery.

Only the virtue eyes " light up". Are you sure you have a stock mini?
Did you try cleaning the eyes? If it chopped like mad, you likely have paint all gunked up inside the chamber and eye section.

Thanks for the replies......I replaced the battery and everything Saturday before taking it out......It is a stock mini and I could have swore the eyes lit up blue. Again, I probably have only played with it 6 times since purchasing it which is why I am concerned with it chopping balls. It was 60-70 degrees both days. On Saturday I was using yellow paintballs which I didn't like at all. Yesterday I was shooting Draxxus paintballs that were green. When I broke the first ball on Saturday I took it appart and cleaned everything including the eyes but it didn't seem to help. I'm running a Pinokio hopper and never had any problems with the confirguration before.

Take the hopper off, drop 2 balls down the neck, fire the one and see how far the 2nd jumps up out of the neck. Report back.

Ok, so I took the Mini apart, cleaned everything including the eyes, aired it up and did the two ball test listed above........the 2nd ball jumped up the feed neck about 1/2 inch.

I think I may have fixed my own problem.........as I pondered what to do next I had an idea and tried my cheapy VL hopper just to make sure there wasn't something wrong with my Pinokio..........went through two hoppers full of paint using semi-auto with zero breaks........so I cleaned the Pinokio really well and there appears to be something wrong with the bend sensor.......it sporatically will recognize a ball or it will just run when a ball isn't even present........even though it sucks if my Pinokio needs to be fixed, I would rather it be that than the Mini......

Yes, glad to hear you pinpointed the problem. Keep us updated on how you fixed your Pinokio because...well, I have one.
