Stock and Virtue board problems

Hey, I'm a total noob with electronic markers, so any help would be great. I bought an 09 Mini off of Craigslist. It's all stock except for the board, it has a Virtue Redefined installed. First thing I did was buy brand new batteries. I powered/aired it up and tried to shoot a few rounds. Well, when I first turn it on the LED is flickering red, indicated that there is no ball in the breech. But there was a ball in the breech. So I thought the eyes may be bad. Then I turned the eyes off and the gun shoots ok. I opened it up and cleaned the eyes. I also looked at them through a cell phone camera, and the eyes are turned on at least. Tried a factory reset, no dice.

Next I swapped back to the stock board. With it on the eyes work fine, but after about 30 seconds the board shuts off, won't turn back on and the board and the battery start to get pretty hot to the touch. Anyway, feeling a little frustrated. I'm thinking about ordering a replacement stock board and maybe new eyes just to be safe. If you guys have any tips on what I can do for that, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

Since the Virtue board works fine with the eyes off, Why not just order the eye board first?

I would order just the eyes board first to see if that solves your problems... check out theboss33 on this board his store is the place to get replacement parts, let him know you are a member on here and he might even help you out!
