Default Need Help with Back Cap?

Hi guys, first post here, so...

I bought a used Mini from a local and he warned me that the back cap loosens after gassing up. Is that a regular thing in Mini's (its a year 2007)?

Its def not normal for the back cap to work its way out or in, since that is how the velocity is adjusted with the Mini. I would venture a guess that it could use a new o-ring for the back cap. That should fix it.

EDIT: And welcome to the family by the way. Make yourself at home.

Glad you made it over DesertNomad.

The oring that Melonhead speaks of is probably part 32.

A few of the guys here have had excellent luck and service from Oring Monkey. With your marker being an 07, it could probably use an o-ring rebuild.

Good luck and keep us posted!

That is most definitely the o-ring I was referring to. And yeah your marker could probably benefit from a total o-ring overhaul. It made a night and day difference in my Minis.

Alright, thanks all.

One more question, though; my Mini is missing the EDIT: little white "restrictor" shown in the Invert Mini Disassembly video on youtube. Anyone know where I can get one (or more, in case) without having to buy a whole parts kit?

That piece is called the check valve. This will cause a bunch of fun issues if you don't have one. You can purchase them here individually, or you can buy a player's parts kit and it will have a couple in there. You're wanting part #22 on that diagram I just gave you.
