You could buy a team, or player parts kit from other companies as well though, that way you get a bunch of spare parts as well. EDIT: a place to get the kits is Paintball gateway, i believe they sell the poppet separately as well, but not that much cheaper than the player parts kit. Before you replace it with a new one, try resetting it. Lightly lube it and put it back in place. Now tighten the back cap down nice and snug. Dont crank down on it, but get it tight. Does this stop the leak?

tried it. still leaks, and wont fire correctly

Then yeah you need a new poppet. Sounds like the face is fairly damaged.

it doesnt look damaged but i was told they wear out every 6 months

I don't think you can really put a time frame on them. Some guys with the Gen1 version of the poppet that came out in 07 are still using them. I have one that just went out this weekend. And yeah they don't appear damaged, but it only takes a tiny imperfection to cause the leak.
