Default Broken Air Transfer Tube

Broke my Air Transfer Tube (female, part # 49) today while breaking down my mini to give it a thorough cleaning. What makes this so bad is the fact that the area that broke is so freaking thin it took me about thirty minutes to figure out what the heck it was because it was nearly a clean break. Alex (Pirke) broke out my calipers and the area that broke measured in at only .007 inches/.18 mm thick.... wow just wow. This left me a a little disheartened at how thin it was and how easily it could have broken while aired up. So I did a google search and it revealed that this was an issue until they upgraded that part in newer mini's. Guess I'll be giving Kee a call tomorrow to see if they will replace it.

Doh! Sorry to hear that. I think there's a site out there that has a beefed up transfer tube. Someone posted it here.

I finally spoke with a Tech from Kee yesterday. I explained my situation, and they offered up a replacement for free. I should have it next week, and my Mini back up and running.

Their response is a little slow, but when you do get a tech on the phone they go above and beyond to get things fixed for you.

I guess maybe the holidays cuts their staff numbers down, but glad to hear they're replacing it for free!

two and a half weeks? no offense to anyone who owns a mini, but kee's inability to respond in a timely fashion is one of the leading reasons i dont own a mini. that delay isnt unusual from my experience nor from what i have read from other mini owners. to compound the frustration from their minimal efforts to respond, the few times that i did speak to them they seemed a little put out that i'd called them and the first question they asked was "how old is your mini?" i get that they need to protect their fiscal interests and need to exercise come skepticism when an end-user calls, but i have just not found them to be in line with the customer service that other paintball companies provide.

i'm glad to hear that you did eventually get a response from them and that they're handling your situation properly, invictus.

They shipped it last friday and I got it on monday, and got my Mini back up and running.

The tech did ask me how old my mini was, and I told him I had no clue. I think they ask for their records in the event their dept gets either an internal or external audit. I know at work here they do that to us all the time.

Audit? Audit! Ugh, dealing with auditors all the time now.

I'd be surprised if they have internal auditors...probably external auditors if they have/need bank loans. Kee isn't a public company right?

Ok, well this happened to me a while back and my attempt to get a new tube failed miserably. Five calls and five emails and they never responded.

I tried again the other day with a call. They answered my call on the second ring. After telling them my name, they pulled up my account and saw my Mini was still in warranty.

Not even one day later, it showed up. They sent it UPS ground and somehow it was delivered in 24 hours.

Either way, even though my initial attempt was terrible, nice to have had them come through finally.
