So coming to you guys with five days until I leave for Fulda with a major issue.
I just came to be the owner of a BT TM7. After finally getting it all set, I have come to realize today while checking my gear, I am having some crazy FPS jumps. I shot off a pod of paint and the whole time was around these numbers: 250 270 280 280 280 310 280 290 280 310 All over the place really. I have my regulator set just a hair under 200 and while I know the Mini very well, I can't figure this one out. I have cleaned the Noid, I will be cleaning the poppit tonight and relubing all O-Rings, and the board settings have been reset to factory normal settings. Any help would be LARGELY appreciated as this is a big gun for me at Fulda. Thanks a lot in advance! ~DJ

What is your dwell? if the dwell is too low it could cause it, or if it is too high it could cause it...
Or bad paint... but im sure you know that already. |

Sounds like reg creep. Heres one potential fix. But since I dont have a TM7 I could be wrong. You may need to adjust the Regulator Cap that surrounds the brass adjustment screw. Loosen the small set screw on the bottom of the regulator that locks the Regulator Cap in place. At the front sideof the bottom-line regulator there is a Regulator Cap and a Regulator Adjuster screw inside of that cap. In the case that the Regulator Cap becomes loose, do not use tools, use your hand strength only. Back out the brass adjuster completely with the correct allen wrench then screw the cap in by hand until you feel resistance (with gun gassed up) then back it out 1/8 turn. It's important to make this adjustment as stated to properly balance the reg.

There is also a video on youtube that simon (maker of the mini) has made about it. If you cant find it, ill try to dig it up, type in something like invert mini regulator and it should come up i think.

How new is the marker? There's a good chance the spring is just not broken in yet. Most likely though it is just bad paint. What paint were you using and how old was it? You could try overboring a tad and see if that fixes it.

Its used and the first run of production. The reg doesn't even have the lock screw on it so theres a good amount of wobble.
The paint was DXS Blaze and about 3 weeks old so not the paint.

Wobble? If the regulator doesn't have the allen head screws at the bottom to tighten it, you may want to loctite the air transfer tube like the dude described in the video that I showed you last night.

Mine will start getting inconsistent when the poppet needs relubing.
