Default Rip Clip Issues...

Hey guys,

anyone out there rocking a Rip Clip on your TM7? one came with my TM7 that i got on trade. i'm loving the TM7 but having two issues with the Rip Clip. was out shooting the other day and was having problems with feeding. it would shoot four or five balls fine then not feed anymore. i could hit the button or spin the drive underneath and it would continue shooting... i've since talked to the previous owner (i'm not sure if he is a member here or not) but he told me to turn the Rip Clip on in a sealed car as it calibrates its mic on power up. i havent had a chance to shoot it agan since then but i'm gonna give that a try. the other thing it was doing is kinda the same thing...shoot a couple balls then fail to load. when i turned everything upside down and removed the hopper two balls where jammed trying to go into the feed port, completely blocking it and not allowing the "paddles" to spin. i do admit, it was older junk paint that i was shooting up, so maybe that was the problem with it. i've got some new paint that i'm going to try to shoot this afternoon.

here's my question, has anyone else out there ran into these problems? the ball jams are what worry me the most, i think the mic issue will be resolved. i am really wanting to like the Rip Clip, but i dont know now...i'm having my doubts... i have a standard BT feedneck ordered and i will try out my Invert Halo Too on the TM7 as soon as it gets here. i love the side and low mount of the Rip Clip as i love the Cyclones on my Tippmanns, but if jams are common then i'll have to make do with the Halo Too. i play a back heavy gunner on my team and they need me to be laying cover and support fire...not cleaning out ball jams...

Old paint will jam, you should have no jams with fresh stuff.

The other feeding issue is because the RipClip was designed for the much noisier BT-4. The stock microphone won't reliably activate with the much quieter TM-7, even with a loud barrel. I run a Ripclip on mine, but I changed out the mic with a more responsive one. Mics are available on ebay to do the mod.

You are supposed to tweak your TM7 programming settings to make it work right. I bought a RipClip because I thought it would look cool but I am yet to try it. BTW, Rotor just works with TM7 with zero issues if there is another hopper you are considering.
