I've never had that happen to me, but if your local field uses that paint a lot you might want to consider upgrading to the laser eyes.

upgrading the to laser eyes..meaning need to change the board as well..
anyone had tried modifying the board by just replacing the eyes..it only use typical transmitter and receiver LED, same thing you can find in computer mouse. (the old mouse, which use the ball instead on IR)

The eye board and main board are two different boards. You do not need to replace the main board. The only company that I know of with upgraded EYE boards is Virtue. Nobody here has done any modding to the eye boards, but feel free to post up if you are successful.
