Virtue Oled Board

So I saw that this board has finally came out, but haven't read a lot about it just. Just wondering what other people have heard/read about it.

Same here I havent see to many reviews on it. But what a price tag. You could buy another mini for the cost of the board. I need a good reason why to purchase.

While I am totally intrigued by the Display on this board I could not stomach the price it. I APE'd my mini instead and will post up about it in the near future.

The main thing I like about it is that you would be able to switch the settings and modes of your board while actually seeing what you are doing on a menu driven system instead of having to count the flashes of the LED. You can use a USB cord to attach it to your pc for new updates also. The speaker doesn't do much for me though as well as you get a plastic door with the window in it instead of an aluminum like the stock door.

I'm sure sooner or later they will make an aluminum door. If not I'm sure someone will mod theres to work.

The board comes with a door with a clear plate in it, or maybe the whole thing is plastic, im not sure. But you can see the screen through it.

I talked to a guy at the field this last Saturday who had the OLED board installed and couldn't get it to work properly. He sent it back and is now sporting the Virtue board and loving it. I also read some threads on PbN that were mostly negative. For $185 I can't ever see myself trying it.

I talked to a guy at a pro shop recently (can't remember the name at the moment) and he said the same thing about OLED, that you should just put a virtue or tadao in your mini. He said for the price its not worth it, the extra $100 just gives you a screen not performance.

I think it's a great idea though, like Mutt said, it would be better to be able to see your settings rather than count light flashes. Also being able to adjust certain things via USB/PC sounds awesome.

I bet you could dremel out a rectangle so you could continue to use an aluminum cover that matches the color of your Mini.

that is a good idea and quick aesthetic fix but you probably couldn't use the gun at a field or tourney. right?
